MSD voted Rally Business of the Year.

Motor Sport Developments Ltd (MSD), the company responsible for designing, building and running the Hyundai Accent WRC in the World Rally Championship, has been given the coveted Rally Business Of The Year Award.

The award was presented to MSD's Commercial Director Steve Hardman at the annual MIA (Motorsport Industry Association) Business Excellance Awards gala dinner, and in front of 500 of motorsport's leading figures.

The award was presented to MSD's Commercial Director Steve Hardman at the annual MIA (Motorsport Industry Association) Business Excellance Awards gala dinner, and in front of 500 of motorsport's leading figures.

The award, in its first year, was given as a result of voting by the motorsport industry, ans was seen as a reflection of the experience, expertise and technical innovation that the Milton Keynes-based company has amassed in the 11 years since its creation.

Commercial Director, Steve Hardman, said, "This is a very prestigious award and it is extremely gratifying to be recognised by our peers in the motorsport industry. Several of our competitors have won similar awards in the past and the success they have gone on to achieve is well documented."

"This award reflects the hard work and dedication that everyone who works at MSD has put in, not just in the last year but over the three years we have been running the Hyundai World Rally Team." Managing Director, David Whitehead, concluded.

The Hyundai World Rally team are currently preparing for the opening round of the 2001 World Championship, next weekends Monte Carlo Rally.
