1994 World Rally Champion Didier Auriol will race for Skoda in 2003, thus far in testing he has done over two hundred kilometres behind the wheel of his Octavia WRC, here he talks about the coming season and working for his new team...

Q:
Didier, how's it going at Skoda? How much testing have you done? Are you looking forward to Monte Carlo?

Didier Auriol:
I can't wait for the first rally. We have done a lot of testing in the Czech Republic, France and Sweden and now it's time to transmit our hard testing into the rallies. Co-operation with the team is fantastic, I am glad that I choose Skoda Motorsport. I think we can together achieve good results. Everybody is working at a hundred percent.

Q:
What are the best things about Skoda, in your opinion?

DA:
The car is great to drive and has got very good potential. Of course, success does not come overnight. But everybody in the team has got the will and the capability to work hard to achieve our objectives. I'm sure we'll get there. Already we've made big progress, and that's down to our shared enthusiasm for rallying and a constant supply of new, fresh ideas. So the team's biggest strength is its people.

Q:
Which rallies are you looking forward to most?

DA:
All of them! I'm the sort of driver who feels equally happy on asphalt or on gravel. I know I've got a good car so I'm going to enjoy every event. But Monte Carlo, at the start of the year, is always very special.

Q:
Which Skoda do you drive on the road and what do you think of it?

DA:
I've got a Superb, which is a fantastic car. It's big enough for all my family but fast enough and fun enough for me to enjoy driving all the time. I would really recommend it.
