Peugeot's Marcus Gronholm has won the Rally Finland after pacing himself through the final leg Sunday.

The Finn eventually took the victory by over 1 minute, while reigning world champion and current championship leader, Sebastien Loeb took the runners-up spot, 30secs or so up on Markko Martin, in the second 307 WRC.

Subaru driver, Petter Solberg had to make do with fourth, 5 seconds ahead of Mikko Hirvonen, who was the lead Ford Focus driver, in fifth. Toni Gardemeister took sixth spot, while Mitsubishi ace, Harri Rovanpera and Francois Duval rounded out the top eight.

Henning Solberg was the top privateer runner in ninth, while Skoda duo, Janne Tuohino and Armin Schwarz came in tenth and eleventh.

The Junior WRC win meanwhile went to Daniel Sordo, a remarkable achievement for the Spaniard, considering this was his first time in Finland. He finished over 1 minute and 30 seconds up on Urmo Aava, who was second in the Suzuki Ignis, while Guy Wilks gave the all-new Suzuki Swift a podium on its debut.
