Matthew Wilson is one of many drivers backing the Motor Sport Association's 'Go Motorsport' campaign on this weekend's Wales Rally GB, the UK's round of the World Rally Championship.

The 20-year-old star will be promoting the initiative by having official stickers on his top flight Stobart VK M-Sport Ford World Rally Team entry.

Matthew's father and Ford WRC boss Malcolm Wilson, is one of many well-known Go Motorsport Ambassadors - which also includes the likes of Robert Reid, Murray Walker, Jenson Button and Damon Hill - and the Wilson family are fully behind the campaign to attract new people into the sport.

"I'm delighted to be promoting Go Motorsport on this weekend's Wales Rally GB," said Wilson Jr. "My father's one of many high profile ambassadors supporting what's a great initiative from the MSA aimed at helping all sorts of newcomers to get involved not just in racing or rallying but also in lots of other equally exciting forms of motor sport.

"While competing in the World Rally Championship isn't cheap, there are plenty of far more affordable ways for people to have fun on four wheels whether it's as a competitor or volunteer. This Go Motorsport campaign will help them to become a part of what I believe is the most exciting sport in the world."

The Go Motorsport campaign has been set up by the MSA - the governing body of motor sport in the UK, to help guide people into getting involved in motor sport, be it as a competitor, spectator or volunteer.
