5 - Dani Sordo

Fifth spot goes to Dani Sordo for his role in helping Citroen win the manufacturers' championship again.

He managed points in eleven of the 13 events and while his year got off to a bit of a slow start, he re-found some of his form after taking third in Portugal and then second in Bulgaria.

He also opted to change his co-driver after Finland, ditching Marc Marti for Diego Vallejo, a brave move - especially after Citroen elected to promote Sebastien Ogier to the Citroen 'A' team for the gravel events in the second half of the season.

That was big blow for the Spaniard and the news only got worse when Ogier 'nicked' his place for 2011, something Citroen confirmed at the end of July.

Sordo kept pushing though and made the most of the asphalt events in the second part of the year to end 2010 on a relative high with three more podiums in Germany, France and Spain.

His plans for 2011 have still to be confirmed - although in recent weeks Mini has emerged as a strong possibility.
