A new Brazilian team is to contest ten rounds of the 2011 World Rally Championship and will become the first privateer team to run the new MINI Countryman at the same time.

The Brazil World Rally Team will field a single car for Daniel Oliveira with Prodrive - the same team that will run the MINI works programme - being responsible for running the car.

Oliveira is set to make his debut on Rally Portugal in March using a Super 2000 version of the new Countryman before switching to the full WRC machine later in the year.

Oliveira moves to the WRC having spent 2010 competing in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, where he took a best finish of seventh on home soil in Brazil.
