Petter Solberg says he is hoping to match his speed this season with a podium finish in the fourth round of the WRC season.

Solberg has posted 14 fastest stage times so far this season, a figure beaten only by Sebastien Loeb, but finds himself fifth in the standings having run into problems on each of the three events run so far.

As a result, the former champion heads to Jordan sitting fifth in the standings but he is hopeful of challenging for the podium for the first time in his Citroen DS3 WRC.

"Things have not gone our way in the past three events," he said, "but hopefully they will on this event, and we can get that podium we are waiting for.

"We have been fastest on 14 stages during three rallies, so the speed is definitely there. Hopefully it will take us all the way to the podium in Jordan."
