M-Sport driver Henning Solberg has retired from Wales Rally GB this morning due to a fuel leak.

Henning was forced to stop on the road section after SS19, the 10.04 km run through Alwen 1.

"Unfortunately Henning will go no further today. It looks like a fuel leak so the team have decided to retire the car on safety grounds," M-Sport tweeted.

Solberg, who was quickest in SS13 on Saturday and third in SS11, had been ninth overall in his Fiesta RS WRC, 22 seconds behind Jari-Matti Latvala. This was his sixth WRC event of the season and the only time he has failed to score points, after coming home ninth in Finland and Poland, seventh in Sardinia and Sweden and fifth in Portugal.
