Volkswagen's Sebastien Ogier has retired from day one of Tour de Corse - Rallye de France after stopping on the road section back to parc ferme.
Ogier was around 10 kilometres from the overnight halt when a gear shift problem forced him to park his Polo R WRC.
The Frenchman, who held the joint lead after SS1 this morning, had slipped back to tenth in SS3 after he had to stop a change a puncture. He is now due to re-start on Saturday under Rally 2, albeit down in 55th position, having picked up a 10 minute penalty.
