Sebastien Ogier has topped the Shakedown timesheet for Rally RACC Catalunya for M-Sport as main World Rally Championship title rival Thierry Neuville only manages eighth.

The M-Sport Ford driver asserted his dominance on the Shakedown with his final run of the test to go top to edge out Citroen’s Kris Meeke, while Hyundai debutant Andreas Mikkelsen impressed immediately by taking third on the timesheet and top factory driver.

Dani Sordo clinched fourth in his Hyundai ahead of Ott Tanak (M-Sport Ford), Jari-Matti Latvala as leading Toyota Gazoo Racing driver and Mads Ostberg (M-Sport Ford) which left second place in the WRC drivers’ standings Neuville down in eighth place – albeit less than two seconds off the pace set by Ogier.

Juho Hanninen (Toyota) and Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) rounded out the top ten contenders on the Shakedown in Spain.
