The FIM has announced a revision to the 2004 World Superbike and Supersport calendar, with the European event at Brands hatch to take place on August 1st, instead of July 25.

Meanwhile, the Supersport World Championship events will be held at WSBK rounds in Europe and also Australia's Phillip Island - but will once again not make the journey to Laguna Seca in the USA.

It had been thought that with a new WSBK round scheduled at Mont Tremblant, Canada, the Supersport stars could justify the travel costs to North America, but the event is traditionally paired with the AMA SBK series and this is now expected to continue.

Meanwhile, the Mont Tremblant round itself is still to be confirmed for either WSBK or WSS.

The revised calendar for the 2004 Superbike and Supersport World Championships is as follows:

2004 World Superbike calendar

February 29 Spain Valencia (WSS)
March 28 Australia Phillip Island (WSS)
April18 San Marino Misano (WSS)
May 16 Italy Monza (WSS)
