The proposed World Superbike Championship round scheduled for Mont Tremblant in Canada on 4 July has had to be cancelled, reducing the season temporarily to eleven events.

Although a replacement for the race is due to be arranged, organisers FIM were forced to publish a revised calendar with TBA against the mid-summer date after a circuit inspection by CCR inspector Claude Danis determined that the amount of work necessary to bring the venue up to WSBK standard could not be carried out in time for the proposed date, and therefore the circuit could not be homologated.

Series promoter FGSPORT is currently studying the possibility of replacing the event, which was to have formed a first trans-Atlantic double-header with the traditional Laguna Seca round.

Meanwhile, the annual trip to Brands Hatch has been confirmed for 1 August, following its own movement in the calendar in earlier releases.

The revised calendar for the 2004 season is the following:

February 29 Spain Valencia (WSS)
March 28 Australia Phillip Island (WSS)
April 18 San Marino Misano (WSS)
May 16 Italy Monza (WSS)
May 30 Germany Oschersleben (WSS)
June 13 Europe Silverstone (WSS)
July 4 TBA
July 11 United States Laguna Seca
August 1 Great-Britain Brands Hatch (WSS)
September 5 Netherlands Assen (WSS)
September 26 Italy Imola (WSS)
October 3 France Magny-Cours (WSS)
