Foggy Petronas racing boss Carl Fogarty nearly chocked on his dinner when he heard the new line-up for the hit TV show I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.

The four-times World Superbike champion had been short-listed to appear in the show, where celebrities have to spend two weeks in the Australian jungle, being voted off one-by-one by the viewing British public as the days progress until a winner is left.

Although he eventually decided not to pursue the idea, he soon had regrets when this year's line-up was announced...

Amongst those going ahead with the challenge are model Jordan, George Best's wife, Alex, footballer Neil Ruddock, ex-pop star Peter Andre, former Sex Pistol Johnny Rotten, former DJ Mike Reid, a former Atomic Kitten member and royal reporter Jenny Bond.

"It's a great bunch they have put together. I have always had a thing about Jordan (lower pictures, with F1 boss Eddie Jordan), and love winding Michaela up about it," he grinned. "It would have been funny if I had agreed to do it and she had been on the show.

"Alex Best reminds me of Jordan a bit as well but I think the Atomic Kitten would have got on my nerves. I've met Neil Ruddock before and got on well and Johnny Rotten was a hero of mine - I'll be surprised if he turns up!

"They have definitely matched them to make sure it kicks off and I'm sure there would have been some fun if I had been on. In the end, though, we decided we didn't want all the extra exposure that goes with that show," claimed Carl.
