FGSport has announced that America's Miller Motorsports Park circuit has been given the '2008 Organiser of the Year Award' after its very first season on the World Superbike calendar.

'The high level of professionalism, the efforts made and the endeavours of the staff all guaranteed a high level of standards from an organisational, promotional and sporting point of view' said an FGSport statement, which also acknowledged that it was 'exceptional' for a new circuit to win the award.

"I express my warmest and most sincere congratulations to the circuit management and all its staff and wish them the very best for the season ahead," said Paolo Flammini, FGSport CEO.

The 2009 Miller Motorsports Park WSBK round will take place on May 31 and, unlike the 2008 event, also feature the World Supersport Championship.
