Cal Crutchlow thinks victory in the second World Supersport race of the season at Losail could come from 'six or seven' different sources, despite the Yamaha rider continuing his domination of the weekend with pole position.

The British rider has topped three of the weekend's four Supersport sessions so far, including Qualifying 2, to claim a first pole position on only his second attempt in Qatar.

Edging out Eugene Laverty by a tenth of a second, Cructhlow was delighted to be in prime position to challenge for a maiden WSS victory, but conceded that he expects the competition for the win to be very tight.

"It was good today, I'm happy enough. I think if we can continue that pace for tomorrow we'll be pleased. It's going to be a really close race though and there's no massive advantage, everybody is still close behind.

"I think there's going to be six or seven of us fighting for the front pack positions. It's really exciting again for me to race my first race round Losail setting off from pole position, which is a great boost although only a small advantage!"
