Makoto Tamada is likely to be back in action for the next round of the World Superbike Championship at Valencia after medical checks revealed he hasn't broken his pelvis.

The Japanese rider, a three-time winner at WSBK level, was forced to skip the latest round in Qatar after suffering a heavy impact in a crash just before the races, one which left him with a suspected broken pelvis and broken toe.

Although it was confirmed he has broken his toe, Tamada has not caused any major damage to his pelvis, an injury which had threatened to rule him out of the upcoming races.

As such, Tamada will be back on the Kawasaki in Spain, alongside team-mate Broc Parkes, where he will be bidding to record his first points of the year.
