Supersonic Ducati has officially presented its new bike and rider to the media as it prepares to begin its second season in the World Superbike Championship.

The Italian outfit missed the start of the 2010 season due to the late formation of a WSBK deal, though it is far better prepared for its sophomore campaign.

Introducing a new rider in Maxime Berger, who steps up from the Superstock 1000 series, Supersonic will be one of three privateer teams to carry the Ducati mantle in the absence of a full factory operation.

Though similar to its predecessor, the 2011 Supersonic Ducati was revealed as being liveried in a combination of black, white and red, while there is also a distinctive matt grey for the fuel tank.

"It will be soon my first World Superbike race", Frenchman Berger said. "It is our goal to get always some points in the top ten, but I have to learn many things to exploit the full potential of my Ducati."

Supersonic scored a few notable results with Luca Scassa on the bike in 2010, including a front row starting position at Imola.
