Pedercini Kawasaki has confirmed its rider line-up for the upcoming World Superbike Championship season, with Alexander Lundh being joined by Federico Sandi in 2013.

Lundh stays on board with the satellite Kawasaki operation after sufficiently impressing during a four-round stint with the team at the end of the 2012 season, the 26-year-old scoring points in four of the six races he started.

Having already broken ground to become the first Swedish rider to compete in World Superbikes for 13 years, Lundh is excited about the prospect of getting a full season at this level.

"I'm really happy to remain in the Superbike championship with the Pedercini Team. My first experience in this fascinating and competitive championship was unforgettable and I will try my best to improve the results I got so far. Last year I immediately got acquainted with the entire Pedercini family.

"They are reputable professionals and we are on the same wavelength about next year's targets. I'm eager to ride my Kawasaki ZX10R in the Jerez test scheduled at the end of January and I'm determined to put a good season together."

Sandi, meanwhile, is set for his first full season in World Superbikes having made sporadic appearances in the series over the years. In all, Sandi has made eight WSBK starts, most recently in 2012 when he rode the Grillini BMW at Misano.

After several years attempting to break into the top flight, Sandi is delighted to have secured a full-time berth in the World Superbike Championship.

"I'm very pleased of the agreement reached with the Pedercini family. We both want to get good results and their bikes are undoubtedly competitive. I'm finally taking part to a full World Superbike season and that is a good boost for me.

"I want to bear fruit of my previous experiences made in different series and classes and my goal is to be consistently in the top-10, even though there are a lot of factory riders and machines in Superbike. I'm happy to be testing at Jerez by the end of January and after that at Phillip Island. I need some track-time to get comfortable with both team and bike. I can't wait until the start of the season."

Pedercini Kawasaki has also confirmed a three-man rider line-up for the 2013 FIM Superstock 1000 Cup, with the already-announced Lorenzo Savadori being joined by Leandro Mercado - who raced for the team at WSBK and SSTK level last year - and Italian racer Federico Dittadi.

The confirmation of Lundh and Sandi brings the number of confirmed WSBK participants to 18 with little more than six weeks to go before the new season gets underway.
