Nico Terol could be forced to miss the fifth round of the 2015 World Superbike Championship after a crash in the second race at Assen left him nursing a fractured wrist.

The Spaniard endured a violent high-side from his Althea Ducati and was stretchered from the circuit to the medical centre, where it was confirmed he had fractured his right wrist.

Worst still, the former 125GP champion suffered a 'momentary lapse of consciousness' and does not remember anything about the accident. Fortunately, he has suffered no damage to the brain.

Returning to Valencia for recuperation, though Terol will not require surgery, his manager Xavi Perez believes it is unlikely he will be able to recover in time for the next event in Italy on 10th May.
