Donington Park WorldSBK - Warm-up Results

Jonathan Rea maintained his position at the top of the timesheets as warm and sunny weather returned to Donington Park ahead of today’s two races.

The Kawasaki rider, who dominated in the wet of race one to snatch the WorldSBK championship lead for the first time in 2019, was a tenth quicker than the only rider able to come close on lap times in the treacherous conditions, Tom Sykes.

The BMW rider was in turn a full four tenths clear of third place man Toprak Razgatlioglu, with Alex Lowes and Alvaro Bautista rounding out the top five, the latter bouncing back from hitting his head in an accident during race one.

With all six British riders inside the top ten, Leon Haslam was sixth ahead of Loris Baz, Chaz Davies, Peter Hickman and Marco Melandri.
