Ondrej Jezek was again the fastest of the Superstock 1000 competitors on Saturday morning as he increased his free practice advantage over Roberto Tamburini.

The Czech rider lapped the Magny-Cours circuit 0.08s faster than his best time from Friday, meaning he is a full tenth of a second faster than the rest of the field.

The only rider in the top ten to go faster in FP3, Jezek heads championship hopeful Roberto Tamburini, who was one of only three men to lap in the 1m 40s bracket in the 30 minutes.

With just over five minutes of the session remaining, Jeremy Guarnoni suffered a fall at the downhill turn 15, the Frenchman suffering the same fate as many riders on Friday at the notoriously tight right-hander. The Frenchman maintains his position however, in third.

Behind Raffaele De Rosa stayed in fourth, a place ahead of championship leader Lorenzo Savadori, who needs just one point to secure the title on Sunday, and the impressive Mathieu Gines.
