Kenan Sofuoglu ensured he topped two of the three World Supersport free practice sessions at Phillip Island by lapping a full three quarters of a second faster than team-mate Randy Krummenacher as the Puccetti Kawasaki ZX-6Rs dominated FP3.

A clear favourite to secure his fifth world championship in 2016, Sofuoglu was in awe-inspiring form in the fifteen-minute session with Krummenacher the only rider able to lap within a second of his final time of 1m 33.399s.

Jules Cluzel was third after suffering a terrifying high-side through turn eleven on Friday afternoon with the much-improved Anthony West (fourth) and Luke Stapleford (fifth) just behind.

There were also notable improvements from Federico Caricasulo in seventh, while British teenage Kyle Ryde fell at high speed entering the fearsome Hayshed right before getting stretchered away to the medical centre. The Englishman ended the session tenth.
