Kenan Sofuoglu has topped a delayed FP3 in Losail ahead of Ayrton Badovini and Kyle Smith ahead of qualifying.

The reigning World Supersport champion, who sealed his fifth title last time out in Jerez, produced a later flyer of 2m 02.747s to beat Team Lorini Honda's Badovini's benchmark by almost half a second.

The short FP3 session was suspended on two separate occasions; firstly for an engine blowout on Lorenzo Zanetti's MV Agusta and after a 25 minute delay a second red flag was caused by suspected dropped oil from the same rider.

After a second 15 minute suspension the session was eventually completed with Sofuoglu going top from Badovini and Kyle Smith on the CIA Landlords Insurance Honda.

Alex Baldolini grabbed fourth on the timesheet ahead of Christoffer Bergman and Jules Cluzel, as Roberto Rolfo, PJ Jacobsen, Federico Caricasulo and Luke Stapleford rounded out the top ten runners.

Due to the red flag shake up, FP2's timesheet topper Randy Krummenacher ended the session 15th fastest but he still holds the best lap time of the race weekend from Friday practice.
