Kenan Sofuoglu has comfortably topped the times in the morning warm-up session at Portimao with a half a second advantage over nearest challenger PJ Jacobsen.

Sofuoglu will start from pole position for the Portuguese World Supersport race having looked in impressive form during free practice for Puccetti Kawasaki with a useful advantage over the chasing pack, which has continued in warm-up with a best lap of 1m 45.086s over half a second quicker than Jacobsen on the MV Agusta.

Jules Cluzel claimed third on the timesheet for CIA Landlords Insurance Honda ahead of championship leader Lucas Mahias who starts from second on the grid in Portimao for GRT Yamaha.

Kyle Smith showed signs of improvement in warm-up with fifth place on the Gemar Team Lorini Honda in front of Federico Caricasulo and Germany race winner Sheridan Morais as Niki Tuuli, Alessandro Zaccone and Lorenzo Zanetti completed the top ten.
