Rob Huff notched up a seventh win of his career around the streets of Macau as he gave LADA the perfect conclusion to its best-ever season in the World Touring Car Championship.

A challenging season for the former champion having made the switch to LADA over the winter, Huff struggled initially with the uncompetitive Granta TC1 but updates over the course of the year would see him ascend the results sheet.

Beginning with a landmark podium in Argentina - LADA's first in WTCC -, Huff went one better with a historic victory at Goldenport Park and repeated the feat again in Macau after prevailing in a race-long tussle with former team-mate Yvan Muller.

A seventh win in Macau alone, Huff was delighted to give LADA another victory to conclude its break-out year as he looks ahead to beginning development on the firm's new purpose-built challenger, the Vesta.

"We were travelling to Macau, my favourite track, with the aim to win! It's my seventh victory at this track, but the first with LADA and it's great! I am proud of my team and very grateful to all the engineers, mechanics!

"It was such a difficult year for us and no reward is more valuable than to finish the season on top of the podium! My LADA literally flew - I set the fastest lap of the race. Two wins this season, three podiums (considering the second place in Argentina) - a brilliant results, and believe me, next year will be even more wins with the new LADA Vesta!"
