Yvan Muller has completed a perfect day for Citroen in China by claiming another win for the French firm at the Shanghai International Circuit, a result that seals it the manufacturers' crown for a second year.

Despite starting down the order by virtue of the reverse grid format, Muller picked his through the field to relieve long-time leader Gabriele Tarquini of the top spot on lap nine and cruise home to victory, in turn giving his slim title hopes a boost.

Tarquini held onto second place on an otherwise disappointing weekend Honda, fending off championship leader Jose Maria Lopez and Sebastien Loeb in third and fourth.

Rob Huff led the LADA challenge in fifth position, followed by Tiago Monteiro and Mehdi Bennani, the Moroccan claiming his second Independents' Trophy win of the weekend in the Sebastien Loeb Racing Citroen. Ma Qing Hua, Nicolas Lapierre and John Filippi filled out the top ten.

Further back, pole sitter Hugo Valente saw a strong result ruined when he was collected after being tipped sideways by Tarquini, while race one star Nicky Catsburg also failed to finish. Race one accident damage prevented Tom Chilton and Tom Coronel from making the start.
