Nicky Catsburg has completed the perfect race weekend for Lada to clinch the Russian manufacturer's clean sweep of pole position and a double victory weekend at Moscow Raceway.

Catsburg claimed his and Lada's maiden pole position in WTCC in a wet qualifying session on home soil and after seeing team-mate Gabriele Tarquini secure his team's maiden race win in the opener, Catsburg grabbed the double and his first career win in the series.

In another wet race Catsburg blasted cleanly off pole position to gap the chasing pack but as the track dried out Tarquini closed down on his team-mate. However, he was unable to find a pass which allowed the Dutch driver to take victory by one second.

Lada's only serious threat in the wet was Norbert Michelisz in the JAS Honda who settled for a comfortable third place - 13 seconds off the winner - but seven seconds up the road on factory Honda driver Rob Huff.

With Tiago Monteiro completing the top five finishers, James Thompson once again notched up the top independent driver title for Munnich Motorsport in front of the third Lada of Hugo Valente.

WTCC championship leader Jose Maria Lopez completed a frustrating race weekend in eighth place ahead of Ferenc Ficza as Mehdi Bennani rounded out the points-paying positions.
