Glen Richards back to Supersport?

Glen Richards will not continue with HM Plant Honda in BSB next season and instead switch back to the Supersport class, according to a report on Visordown.

The Australian, who won the 2008 BSS crown for MAP Embassy Triumph, is said to have signed for the TAG Triumph outfit.

Richards, who missed five rounds of this year's BSB championship after fracturing his femur at Knockhill, finished the season twelfth overall with one podium.

HM Plant Honda, which fielded fellow Australian Josh Brookes alongside Richards this season, is yet to confirm any of its riders for 2010.

UPDATE: Speaking to Crash.net, Richards explained that he knows the TAG team well, but denied even talking with TAG about a ride for next season (see separate story).

I can't speak for all the others who believe GR deserves more, however, mcracing I, use knowledge logic and experience as a base for my views. I consider the achievements of the the rider throughout his career and not just their results this season. Steve Plater is, an awesome rider and deserves a suitable platform to showcase his talents for next year but.........Glen does too!!! I shall remind you again, he has won TWO national championships in his two previous campaigns which is a substantial achievement. You do not have to be GR fan to agree but, however, you would have to be devoid of intelligence to disagree.
