The entire field in the Cooper Tires British F3 International Series has signed up for the Sunoco-backed Rolex 24 at Daytona Driver Challenge in an attempt to secure a slot at the round the clock event next year.

The Challenge is open to drivers racing in the British F3 and British GT Championships, as well as the SPEED Series and the Radical UK Cup, with the overall winner at the end of the year securing a fully-paid race seat in the Rolex 24 at Daytona next year in a leading Daytona Prototype machine.

The fact the whole F3 grid has elected to register has seen numbers rocket and Anders Hilderbrand from the Anglo American Oil Company - the distributor for Sunoco race fuels in Europe and the Middle East - said he was delighted with the support shown.

"Interest in the Driver Challenge has been strong from the moment the Regulations were released, but this is the first Series where every single driver in it has registered for the Challenge," he said. "However, I expect drivers from the other eligible series to follow suit very soon."
