Friday marks the final day of a private MotoGP and Superbike test at Jerez, in Spain.

The factory Ducati, LCR Honda, Avintia Ducati and Marc VDS Honda teams concluded testing on Thursday but Suzuki, KTM, Aprilia and Pramac Ducati are expected on track again today alongside the leading WorldSBK teams.

This is the final test of 2017 for all except the Yamaha MotoGP teams, who have elected to hold a private test at Sepang next week, prior to the start of the winter test ban on December 1.

Jerez has been resurfaced since the Spanish MotoGP on May 5-7, but before October's WorldSBK round, which saw a double victory by reigning triple world champion Jonathan Rea.

Testing takes place from 10am to 6pm. Fastest man Jonathan Rea is among those to have finished testing already, but half-a-dozen bikes are still on track...

Yeah, JR65(1) shouldn't be trading paint in MotoGP.

"Those prototypes look and sound cool....."

Get that lad on a factory bike in GPs for the love of all that is holy! It's a crime that he was never offered it years ago, let alone now.
He's been instantly fast and progressed to the top of whatever championship he's been in ever since his early days in the bsb paddock.

Smith and Redding et al will be getting their best  (latest) excuses ready  for getting trashed by another brit on a superbike, (two yrs in a row) its time to  give the best British rider, a bike in moto gp, its a bloody shame

Michelin and Pirelli work in different temperature zones. weather is cold here at this time of year which favors Pirelli more than Michelins which take ages to generate heat..just ask Dani.

Secondly the WSBK times are all on the special Q tyres while the GP riders rode all day testing new parts on medium/soft combos.

The track was surfaced after 2017 GP hence why Dovis Ducati went under JL lap record from M1 years.

If WSBK bikes raced during GP weekend they would be mathematically 50-80 seconds back of the GP winner after 27 laps

No, they'd run out of fuel after twentyone laps.

Well well well..... This proves how slow both Reading and smith really are...Rea miles faster than them both on a superbike. Even Tom Sykes is faster than them both.... I'll stand by what i've always said about S Reading and B Smith.... Both don't belong in Motogp....British Superbike or Superstock riders at best... I just hope the teams they both ride for see sense to in 2019 by dropping them both making way for better talent... I tell you what tho. All Motogp factory teams should be trying to get Jonathan Rea signature. The young man is a quick and smooth rider.... Probably the best british rider we have at the moment J Rea....

Mark.James.7374 - Why only reading and smith, by your logic, petrucci (on a factory ducati), espagaro and miller should go also (and even ianone). Should Jonathan Rea get a Motogp ride - absolutely - should we expect Redding to be quick on the Aprillia - NO
