Official: Sutil to partner Albers at Spyker.
The Spyker F1 team has announced that Adrian Sutil will partner Christijan Albers in the 2007 FIA F1 World Championship after signing a 'long term contract'.

McLaren-Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton topped the times on day four at Jerez on Friday, as the final test session of the year drew to a close.

Regazzoni killed in road accident.
Former grand prix driver Clay Regazzoni has died following a road accident in Italy, aged 67. According to the Ansa news agency, the former Ferrari and Williams driver was killed in a collision with a lorry on a motorway near Parma.

Jerez test - day three: 14 December.
Pedro de la Rosa posted the quickest time on day three of testing at Jerez, as all the Formula One teams bar Spyker continued with preparations for the 2007 season.

Jerez test - day two: 13 December.
Heikki Kovalainen set the pace on the second day of testing at Jerez as nine more teams joined Toyota in the final Formula One OUTING of 2006 at the Spanish circuit.
Bourdais to test with Toro Rosso.
Sebastian Bourdais will get a belated chance to try a Formula One car, having been offered the chance to test with Scuderia Toro Rosso during this week's final group session of 2006.

Schumacher recieves FIA gold medal.
Michael Schumacher has been awarded the FIA's coveted 'Gold Medal for Motorsport' for his contribution to motor racing as he embarks on a winter period as a retired driver for the first time.
Moss recieves FIA honour.
Having been regarded as the finest drivers never to win a Formula One world title, Sir Stirling Moss has instead been granted with an FIA Gold Medal for Motor Sport at the FIA Gala Awards.
Jerez test - day three: 8 December.
Honda's Rubens Barrichello topped the times on day three at Jerez on Friday, as testing at the Spanish circuit drew to a close for the week.

McLaren-Mercedes 'new boy', Lewis Hamilton made his mark in more ways than one on day two of testing at the Jerez circuit in Spain on Thursday and despite an off near the end, he topped the times.

Ferrari continued to mark itself out as the dark horse for title success in 2007, as Felipe Massa and Luca Badoer utterly dominated the opening day of testing at an unusually damp Jerez in southern Spain today.

Michelin plot Clermont-Ferrand celebrations.
Michelin is to celebrate its double title success during the 2006 Formula One season with a special demonstration on the streets of Clermont-Ferrand, the city where the French company is based.

FIA unveils 2007 entry list.
The FIA has officially announced the entry list for the 2007 Formula One World Championship season, with only a few questions left to be answered before the season gets underway in Australia in March.

Honda pleased with first Bridgestone test.
Chief engineer of vehicle performance Mark Ellis said the Honda F1 team was pleased with its first test on Bridgestone tyres at Catalunya, although his admitted there is still a long way to go in adapting to the rubber the team will race on next season.

Barcelona test - day four: December 1.
Having started its programme at Catalunya a day later than anyone else, Toyota had the track all to itself on Friday as the first post-season Formula One test drew to a close at the Spanish circuit.

Barcelona test - day one: November 28.
Ferrari number two driver, Felipe Massa was quickest at the Circuit de Catalunya near Barcelona on Tuesday, as F1 winter testing got underway, with sixteen drivers' on track - and all but two of the eleven teams.

Double World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx insists that he has no regrets about not pursuing a career in Formula One and is more than happy with his role as 'the Michael Schumacher of touring cars'.

Zanardi completes historic BMW test.
Alex Zanardi has made motorsport history after becoming the first driver with amputated legs to successfully return to the cockpit of a Formula One car, the Italian completing the landmark test at Valencia with BMW Sauber.
