Hakkinen admits 2001 is a disaster.
McLaren's Mika Hakkinen has admitted that the 2001 season is turning into a nightmare and that all hopes for the championship are long gone.
Button kicks off test for Benetton.
The Benetton-Renault team started today their first of four days testing in Magny Cours, France with Jenson Button behind the wheel. The team is testing under very warm conditions alongside eight other Formula One teams.

Ferrari begin testing at Magny-Cours.
Ferrari began testing today on the Magny-Cours circuit, in France. Rubens Barrichello began driving at 9.50am and worked mainly on finding the right set-up with the F2001, in preparation for the French Grand Prix to be held here on the 1st July. He also did some tyre testing.

Magny-Cours test - day one: 29 May.
Ralf Schumacher was fastest in the opening day of testing at Magny-Cours today. The German was some two-tenths quicker than the McLaren-Mercedes of Alexander Wurz.

Dennis and Haug threaten Bernoldi.
Enrqiue Bernodli has revealed that Ron Dennis and Norbert Haug had stern words for the Brazilian after the Monaco Grand Prix.

Impressive Monaco double for Ferrari.
Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello scored a dream one-two win in Monaco for Ferrari yesterday, Schumacher backing off in the closing stages for a Ferrari formation finish, Barrichello only half a second behind as the two cars crossed the finish line 30 seconds ahead of their closest rivals

Ferrari star Michael Schumacher scored the fifth Monaco Grand Prix victory of his career yesterday to extend his lead in this year's Formula 1 world championship.

Barrichello fined for speeding in the pit lane.
Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello was the first driver to be handed a speeding fine in opening practice for the Monaco Grand Prix on Thursday. He received a $500 fine for driving 61.2 kph in the pit lane, exceeding the speed limit by 1.2 kph.
Karthikeyan to test for Jaguar in June.
Narain Karthikeyan should finally get the chance to test for the Ford owned Jaguar team in June this year and providing the test goes ahead he will become the first Indian ever to drive a F1 car.

Panis: 1996 win is the past - I need a podium.
1996 Monaco GP Olivier Panis has said the memory of his first and so far only F1 victory is fading and that he needs a podium.

Trulli elected to GPDA.
Italian driver Jarno Trulli has been elected as one of the directors for the Grand Prix Driver's Association (GPDA) and will now work alongside Michael Schumacher and David Coulthard.
