A new face for Mild Seven in Japan.
The Renault F1 team cars will take to the track tomorrow sporting a new look: Mild Seven have marked their home race with the introduction of a new logo.

Toyota and EMC have today announced the renewal of their multi-year partnership contract, which consolidates EMC's position as a technical partner of Toyota's Formula 1 team, Panasonic Toyota Racing.

Renault denies Alonso speculation.
The Renault F1 team has added its voice to others vociferously denying the recent speculation that Fernando Alonso will be joining Ferrari as Michael Schumacher's replacement in the next season or two.

Mugello test - day two: 1 October.
Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer was on top for the second day running today [Wednesday] at Mugello, the Italian's best four tenths up on his time from yesterday, while fellow Scuderia tester Felipe Massa was second best.

Minardi test ex-Arrows car again.
European Minardi Cosworth was back at the Mugello circuit today [Wednesday] for the second test in two weeks of its Cosworth-powered PS04 - the ex-Arrows car which is likely to form the basis of the team's 2004 Formula One challenger.
Silverstone test - day one: 30 September.
Team McLaren-Mercedes tested solo today [Tuesday] at Silverstone, as the outfit began preparations for the Japanese Grand Prix, the finale to this season's FIA Formula One World championship.

Michelin vow to match Bridgestone intermediate.
Michelin motorsport boss Pierre Dupasquier has promised that the French tyre manufacturer will be working flat out this winter, to ensure that they aren't thrashed again by the Bridgestone intermediates.

Montoya: Penalty sad way to end my title hopes.
BMW WilliamsF1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya lost any chance of winning the drivers' title Sunday at the United States Grand Prix, as wet weather conditions and a driver-through penalty both conspired to leave the Colombian sixth at the finish, and out of the race for the 2003 crown.

After all the hype and vitriol surrounding Bridgestone and Ferrari's protest of Michelin's front tyres at the Hungarian Grand Prix, it was perhaps inevitable that the quality of each company's rubber would play a critical role in deciding the title.
Jaguar to get 'new' windtunnel.
Jaguar Racing revealed at the United States Grand Prix that it will shortly have access to its own windtunnel facility, having acquired a former Ministry of Defence unit in England.

Allan McNish has admitted that he would rather find another category to race in than stay with an unsuccessful team simply to say that he is a grand prix driver.
