F1 regulation changes announced for 2002.
The World Motor Sport Council met in K?ln today, and ratified a number of changes to the Formula One sporting and technical regulations for 2002. These include:

Heidfeld puts Sauber back on track.
Nick Heidfeld scored two more World Championship points by finishing fifth for Team Sauber-Petronas in yesterday's USA Grand Prix, bringing the Swiss outfit's seasonal total to 22.

More bad luck for Barrichello.
Ferrari number two Rubens Barrichello suffered yet more bad luck yesterday during the United States Grand Prix when he retired while running in a strong second position and challenging eventual winner Mika Hakkinen.

The OrangeArrows team today announced that they have signed Sergio Rinland as their new Chief Designer. Rinland was responsible for this year's impressive Sauber C20, which has so far helped this Swiss team to their best season to date.

US GP to be televised live on ABC-TV.
The second annual United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis on September 30 will be screened live in America by ABC-TV.

Lauda: Burti was lucky.
Jaguar Formula One boss Niki Lauda has added his voice to claims that Luciano Burti would not have survived his Belgian Grand Prix crash in earlier seasons.
