Jacques Villeneuve has quit his role in the Grand Prix Drivers' Association after the decision not to remove Michael Schumacher as leader following the Monaco Grand Prix controversy.
Cosworth: We're happy with engine freeze.
Cosworth F1 boss Bernard Ferguson says that the company is delighted with Max Mosley's confirmation of the proposed engine freeze for 2008 and beyond, as the independent company has a much smaller budget than its manufacturer-backed rivals, and a freeze means that development costs will tumble.
Alonso claims testing edge over Ferrari.
Fernando Alonso claims that Renault's greater testing knowledge of Silverstone gave the team an edge over Ferrari on Friday, but the true picture has yet to emerge.

DC: It is disgusting how Montoya drives!
David Coulthard has hit out at Juan Pablo Montoya for what he claims was a deliberate attempt to block him on his fastest qualifying lap for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Cosworth F1 boss Bernard Ferguson has said that the company is resigned to losing Williams to Toyota next year, despite the team's technical director, Sam Michael, denying that a deal had been done with the Japanese giant.

Hot weather catches drivers out.
While most people have welcomed the sudden hot and sunny weather in the recent days, the F1 teams that arrived at Silverstone in practice for the British Grand Prix were less than satisfied at the sudden change in temperatures.

Michelin: We have done a lot of work for Brit GP.
Michelin have revealed that they have tested 'several new products' in order to give their partner teams, which include Renault and McLaren, the best chances of success this coming Sunday at the British GP.

Official: Yamamoto gets Aguri third driver slot.
The Super Aguri F1 team has announced that Sakon Yamamoto will join the team at the British Grand Prix this weekend - and at the two following events in Canada and the USA, as their official third driver.

Sir Stirling Moss is to immortalised with a statue commemorating his achievements at the Mallory Park circuit, which will be unveiled in his presence next Monday [12 June].

Montagny encouraged by Monaco performance.
Franck Montagny was given a boost by getting his Super Aguri to the end of the Monaco GP, after retirements in his first two races for the team. At the Monaco weekend the Frenchman was also confirmed for the next three races, ensuring that he will race until at least the US GP on July 2.

Whilst few would begrudge David Coulthard and Red Bull Racing a podium at the Monaco Grand Prix, it is important to note that the final space of the podium passed through several hands before emerging in the Scot's lap.

Updated: Fisichella punished for blocking DC.
Giancarlo Fisichella has had his three best times from qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix taken away after he was judged to have blocked David Coulthard. Fisichella had been summoned to the FIA officials where he was guilty of holding back the Red Bull on the Scot's best lap.

Several teams have expressed their anger at what they believe was a deliberate attempt by Michael Schumacher and Ferrari to safeguard their pole position by blocking the circuit in the dying seconds of qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix.
