HiQ launches champagne moment.

British Touring Car Championship title sponsors HiQ has launched a new initiative to give BTCC fans the chance to present a leading driver in the series with a magnum of champagne at each event on the calendar.

The sponsors have set up the new HiQ 'Champagne Moment' for each round, where fans will be urged to vote for their top performer from each round of the series - starting from the last round at Croft where Colin Turkington took a double win, Mat Jackson produced a storming drive through the field in race two and Fabrizio Giovanardi extended his points lead.

The driver that receives the most plaudits from the round of racing at Croft will be crowned with HiQ's 'Champagne Moment' award and presented with a magnum of bubbly before the action at Snetterton on 13 July. One lucky fan who has logged his or her details onto the HiQ website will be picked at random to present the prize to the driver and complimentary race tickets will also be provided as a prize.

"We want our sponsorship to leave a positive impression on the people that matter at the BTCC - the fans," HiQ's Neil Burrows said. "This is why we have decided to launch our interactive HiQ 'Champagne Moment' idea, and we really hope it will capture the imagination.

"There are still plenty of rounds remaining, so there are lots of opportunities for fans to get involved."

Votes can be logged for the 'Champagne Moment' by going to www.hiqonline.co.uk.
