2025 F1 Hungarian Grand Prix - Qualifying recap

He splits the two Ferraris to go third, 0.2s off Piastri. 

Hamilton slots into second, 0.144s off Piastri. 

30 minutes on the clock: Piastri, Leclerc, Verstappen, Norris, Bortoleto, Russell, Antonelli, Hamilton, Stroll and Hulkenberg. 

Leclerc still goes fastest despite a mistake in the final sector, 0.065s ahead of Verstappen.

A 1m16.202s for Verstappen. The times continue to tumble in Budapest. 

Piastri goes clear with a 1m16.240s, 0.072s ahead of Russell.

Russell sets with a 1m16.312s, 0.094s ahead of Leclerc. Hamilton's first time of the day is four-tenths off.

He goes fastest now with a 1m16.547s, 0.2s ahead of Stroll. 

A 1m17.022s for Tsunoda to go 0.5s clear of Stroll. 

A 1m17.540s for Stroll on the mediums 0.4s ahead of Colapinto. 

We're nearly 10 minutes into the session and Colapinto has just put the first lap time on the board. A 1m18.006s on the softs. 

Norris, Piastri, Stroll and Alonso are on track.

• McLaren topped both sessions; Norris ahead of Piastri
• Ferrari seem to be the second-fastest team, as Leclerc was third-fastest in both practice sessions
• Work to do for Hamilton and Verstappen, who struggled relative to their teammates.
