Piastri finally pits from second place

He gets back out in the same position with a comfortable lead over Norris.

Job done for McLaren, that is their last pit stop of their title-winning season

14:04
41/58

Verstappen wastes no time in dismissing Piastri, getting the pass for the lead done into Turn 6

14:04
41/58

Norris is called into the pits

Bit annoying for Piastri, who has to stay out another lap just as Verstappen storms up to his rear wing

Norris goes onto the hards and resumes back in front of Russell and Leclerc

14:03
40/58

Leclerc pits from fourth place, expect Norris to come in the following lap

Meanwhile, Verstappen is just +1.5s behind Piastri

14:01
39/58

Ocon and Bortoleto are having a ding-dong in the battle for eighth place - the Haas driver has just gotten past the Sauber

14:00
38/58

Only 20 laps remaining and Piastri is still yet to pit - less than five seconds split him from Verstappen in second.

Piastri is due to come out in fourth place behind Verstappen, Norris and Leclerc when he does pit but it remains to be seen if Leclerc needs to stop again. If he does, so will Norris

Verstappen just needs to do his job

13:57
36/58

1- Piastri (to pit)

2- Verstappen

3- Norris

4- Leclerc

5- Russell

6- Stroll (to pit)

7- Alonso

8- Bortoleto

McLaren prepares Norris for a two-stop

If Leclerc comes in to move onto a two-stop, Norris will be in the following lap to cover him off.

The gap between them has opened up to a comfortable +4.7s

13:54
34/58

A few more pit-stops, but not for Piastri yet.

Nor has Lance Stroll, who has been giving a low key impressive performance in sixth place as he attempts to get some points for a one-stop

13:53
33/58

Verstappen pumps in a new fastest lap - he has got the gap down to the yet-to-pit Piastri to 11 seconds.

The Dutchman is doing his bit to fight for the title, but his hopes of winning are ultimately out of his hands

13:50
31/58

Further back, Bortoleto is now back in the points after passing Antonelli for tenth place - and he is right on the tail of Alonso

Hulkenberg, Hamilton, Antonelli and Gasly have all received a black and white flag for track limits - one more for each and penalties will be coming their way

13:49

So, Piastri continues to lead as he crosses the half-way point on those hard tyres.

However, he is losing a fistful of time to three drivers behind him, so much so he will likely return to the track in fourth.

However, who will need to pit again?

13:48
29/58 - No further action on Norris

As we hit the half way point, Tsunoda is handed a 5secs penalty for weaving down the straight in defence of his position from Norris

No further investigation on Norris

13:44
27/58

Nervy moments right now as Norris is under investigation and Leclerc is nibbling away at his advantage in fourth place.

13:42
26/58

Tsunoda forcing another driver off the track is under investigation

Norris leaving the track and gaining a position is under investigation

Two wrongs making a right?

13:41
25/48

1- Piastri (to pit)

2- Verstappen

3- Norris

4- Leclerc

5- Tsunoda (to pit)

6- Russell

7- Stroll (to pit)

8- Hamilton

9- Antonelli

10- Alonso

13:40
25/58

So, the Turn 5 incident between Norris and Tsunoda has been noted

Norris WAS all four wheels off the track to pass on the straight, but it came in the wake of the Japanese weaving more than once in defence.

Oh to be a steward...

13:40
24/58

Verstappen pits from the lead, lifting Piastri into the lead who is yet to pit

The Dutchman rejoins well ahead of Norris - +4.9s

13:38
23/58

Norris has caught up with Tsunoda and while the Japanese forces him wide almost off the track on the back straight, the McLaren squeezes past and back into third

13:37
22/58

Verstappen continues to lead and has opened up another gap over Piastri - +2.2s. Neither have pitted.

Tsunoda is third on the hard tyres, yet to pit, with Norris quickly catching him

Worryingly for Norris, Leclerc is looming in his mirrors too.

Russell, meanwhile, has cleared Lawson and Stroll with a heart-stopping double move from Turn 9 to Turn 12

Meanwhile, Hamilton has risen to ninth place having ditched those softs early. Hulkenberg rounds out of the top ten

13:34
21/58

Leclerc has done a fab job of picking his way through the traffic, he's not only made up a lot of time between himself and Norris, but Russell still has Stroll and Lawson in front of him

13:33
20/58

Russell is complaining that Leclerc was moving around under braking

And lo and behold, the stewards are now taking a closer look

13:32
19/58

A brilliant 'toofer' for Norris as he clears both Stroll and Lawson on the run to Turn 6

Lawson tries to fight back into Turn 9 but Norris has him covered

13:31

Norris clears Antonelli at Turn 5 to move up to eighth place

Make that seventh place, he passes Sainz on the run to Turn 9

Meanwhile, Leclerc has Russell all over his rear wing

13:29

A great stop, but Norris is out right behind a long train of drivers stretching from Ocon to Antonelli - six drivers
