Verstappen has a comfortable 15s lead over Vettel but will his Red Bull car hold together?

We are back to racing conditions with seven laps to go!

20:42

Mercedes pits Bottas under the VSC as he takes on a set of Hypersofts and retains his fifth place, ahead of Hulkenberg, Leclerc, Vandoorne, Ericsson and Gasly.

20:41

Ricciardo's failure promotes everyone up one position, with Vettel up to second and Hamilton now fourth.

20:40

"Check the engine, if you need to turn it down turn it down," says Verstappen.

20:39

The VSC is out as marshals work to clear Ricciardo's stricken car.

20:38

Ricciardo has a puff of smoke and he is out! It's another engine failure for the Red Bull driver as he stops down at Turn 1. Can you believe it?

20:36

Hamilton looks to be coasting home now in a distant fifth. He is nursing those tyres to the end as he looks to wrap up the title.

20:34

Vettel has dropped back a bit from Ricciardo on that last lap, he's now 1.3s behind the Red Bull driver.

20:33

Ricciardo now sets a new fastest lap of the race despite being on tyres that are 45 laps old!

20:32

Despite Vettel being on much fresher tyres, he is finding it hard to get by Ricciardo so far, but he remains in DRS range. Verstappen, meanwhile, is 8 seconds up the road.

20:30

Even though Hamilton's struggles are continuing in fifth - that place would be enough for him to win a fifth title, with Vettel only third as things stand.

20:29

But next time around Gasly gets the move done with a clean pass into Turn 1! He's up to 12th.

20:29

Ocon and Gasly go wheel-to-wheel at Turn 4, with Gasly being edged wide and off the track.

20:27

"Something is definitely not right, when I have fresh tyres and cannot match their [the leaders] times," says a frustrated Hamilton.
