And here is our race report from a frantic and crazy Bahrain GP...

17:53

Here are the full results from Bahrain...

17:51

Verstappen finishes fourth for Red Bull-Honda, ahead of Vettel. Norris scores a brilliant sixth place for McLaren, ahead of Raikkonen, Gasly, Albon and Perez, who complete the top 10.

17:49

Leclerc does indeed claim his first F1 podium following a valiant drive after engine issues robbed him of victory.

17:48

It's another 1-2 for Mercedes as Bottas comes home in second place!

17:48

The race finishes under the Safety Car as Hamilton crosses the win to win a bonkers Bahrain GP!

17:45

Hamilton starts his final lap and it looks like we will finish behind the Safety Car, which is great news for Leclerc in third place.

17:44

Hulkenberg had already stopped at Turn 1, before Ricciardo joined him moments later. The marshals are now working to remove both cars. Will we have time to resume racing? There's just two laps to go.

17:43

The Safety Car is deployed!

17:42

"Everything just cut out," says Ricciardo as both Renaults pull off at Turn 1.

17:42

Both Renaults are out! What is happening!

17:40

Bottas easily passes Leclerc along the main straight as Leclerc drops to third. Hes 5.5s clear of Verstappen.

17:40

Red Bull tells Verstappen he will catch Leclerc before the end. Adds the Ferrari driver is 40kph down on the straights.

17:39

Does Hamilton now have an issue? He reports his downshifts are getting "very clunky".

17:38

Leclerc has an 11s advantage over Bottas, with Verstappen a further seven seconds back. Leclerc is doing all he can in his ailing car.

17:36

It's absolutely heartbreaking for Leclerc, who had not put a foot wrong in this race. He's been excellent all weekend and was dominating this race before his engine issues struck.

17:32

Hamilton passes a struggling Leclerc on the run to the final corner and takes the lead of the Bahrain GP!

17:31

Hamilton is now within DRS range of Leclerc.

17:30

Leclerc is losing so much time on each lap. "What is happening?" he asks Ferrari.

17:29

This should have been an easy Ferrari 1-2 but it is quickly falling away. Leclerc is limping around in his Ferrari as the lead gap drops to 4.6s! Hamilton is closing in rapidly.

17:28

"There is something strange with the engine," reports Leclerc. Has he got a problem? Hamilton has closed to within 7s of the Ferrari driver and there are 10 laps to go.

17:27

Raikkonen is the latest man to pass Ricciardo as he sweeps around the outside of Turn 1. This one-stop strategy is well and truly backfiring on Ricciardo.

17:26

Norris finds a way past Ricciardo's Renault at Turn 1 and gets himself up to seventh, while Raikkonen is all over the back of the Australian now.

17:24

Vettel dives past Hulkenberg to snatch fifth but he is now 26s behind Verstappen with 13 laps remaining.
