Minardi signs tester Vinella.
The Minardi team unveiled its new test driver at the Nurburgring before qualifying today [Saturday], with Italian Giorgio Vinella lined up to start work almost immediately.
Vinella, who has recent experience in the Italian F3000 series, was one of the drivers invited to try out for the second Minardi seat over the winter, eventually taken by Argentine Gaston Mazzacane.

Vinella will start his new role early next month, running at Vairano to continue the development of the MO2 and its new titanium gearbox among other tasks.
