The Renault F1 team launched their 2006 world championship challenger, the R26, in Monaco today with the 'promise of an aggressive defence' of the team's double world championship.

FIRST PICS: Williams FW28 roll-out.
WilliamsF1 rolled out their 2006 race car - the FW28, for its inaugural laps Monday at Valencia prior to the start of testing 'proper' on Tuesday. With Nico Rosberg behind the wheel, the team recorded 43 trouble free laps despite the poor, wet weather.

Webber: Rossi 'brave' to join Valencia test.
Williams F1 driver Mark Webber has said he feels Valentino Rossi is 'quite brave' to be joining the upcoming group test in Spain next week.
Direxiv expands with Wurz deal.
Alex Wurz will bear the distinctive logo of Japanese company Direxiv Holdings, having signed a deal to head up its young driver development programme in 2006.

Williams: FW28 must re-establish us at sharp end.

The Super Aguri F1 team will be on the grid for the 2006 Formula One season after the FIA granted the team late entry into the championship.

The Honda Racing F1 team unveiled its challenger for the 2006 F1 season in Spain this morning with the new driver line-up of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello.

Kosuke Matsuura has effectively removed himself from contention in the race to land the second Super Aguri F1 seat alongside expected team leader Takuma Sato by re-signing for the squad's Indy Racing League line-up.

Heidfeld completes more miles with F1.06.
Nick Heidfeld continued testing with the new BMW Sauber F1.06 Wednesday at Valencia, following his first outing with the car on Tuesday. The German enjoyed a productive day, clocking up a further 68 laps, after completing 29 on day one - his best time a 1 minute 12.440 seconds.
Brunner: I've never copied anything - ever!
Former Toyota F1 designer Gustav Brunner has reacted angrily to rumours this week that he may be implicated in the ongoing row between Ferrari and the Cologne-based squad over alleged use of stolen software.
