His appointed managing director of Renault F1.
Renault has announced today that Jean-Jacques His has been appointed managing director of Renault F1 France. His takes over from Christian Contzen who has been 'assigned new duties.' The team released the following statement:
New structure for Octagon Motorsports.
Octagon Worldwide today confirmed that its motorsports division will now bring together all the company's motorsports interests in terms of venues, events and world series.

Sauber buys out Red Bull.
Peter Sauber has confirmed that he has re-purchased Red Bull's stake in his F1 team and that he now plans to sell the shares to Credit Suisse. Sauber told the BBC : "I have bought back the shares of Sauber Holding AG from Red Bull GMBH."

Sauber drivers commence 2002 campaign.
Team Sauber Petronas began its 2002 FIA Formula One World Championship campaign today at Spain's Circuit de Catalunya, just outside Barcelona, the opening day of a three-day test for the team at the circuit.
