Villeneuve, BMW part company.
The Canadian's absence from the Hungarian Grand Prix was seen by many as the first crack in what has appeared to be an improved relationship this season, but Jacques Villeneuve will not be back in the F1.06 after both parties confirmed a termination of their relationship.

Renault has confirmed that the right-rear wheelnut, and not a driveshaft, was to blame for Fernando Alonso's exit from the Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Schumacher nearly made me crash, says de la Rosa.
Pedro de la Rosa has admitted that Michael Schumacher almost caused him to crash in the latter stages of the Hungarian Grand Prix, when the German skipped the chicane and came out in front of the McLaren-Mercedes.

Michael Schumacher was left cursing his inability to close the gap significantly on Fernando Alonso in the championship when he retired three laps from the end of the Hungarian Grand Prix, following an incident with Nick Heidfeld.

Scott Speed has become the latest this weekend to receive a penalty for the Hungarian Grand Prix, the American losing his three best qualifying times after been judged to have impeded another driver.

Brawn coy on sabbatical question.
Ross Brawn has deflected rumours of him taking a sabbatical from Formula One in 2007, insisting that his decisions for the future will not be made public until the end of the year.

Rosberg: I had too much grip.
Nico Rosberg put his failure to qualify for inside the top 16 down to, curiously, having too much grip, the German insisting that a surprisingly balanced car forced him to push too hard in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix, eventually qualifying down in 18th place.

Despite the Canadian saying little on the subject, suggestions that Jacques Villeneuve is about to follow Juan Pablo Montoya to NASCAR refuse to fade, particularly with few Formula One seats appearing open to him.

Fernando Alonso's hopes of holding Michael Schumacher at bay in the driver's standings have received a blow after he was given a two-second penalty in qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix following an altercation with Robert Doornbos.
Renault recieve boost after practice.
Renault received a much needed boost ahead of a crucial Hungarian Grand Prix after Fernando Alonso and Giancarlo Fisichella posted the second and third fastest time in the second practice session of the day.

Wurz back in a race seat.
Williams third driver, Alex Wurz will be back racing full-time in F1 in 2007, following the announcement on Wednesday that he will partner Nico Rosberg at the Grove-based squad next season.

Renault set to use mass dampers in Budapest.
Renault F1 have confirmed that they will definitely re-fit the mass damper on the R26 in Hungary this coming weekend, after they were forced to remove them for the German GP following a re-interpretation of the rules by the FIA, the sport's governing body.

Coulthard confirm place on 2007 grid.
David Coulthard has confirmed that he will be on the Formula One grid next season, and admitted that he is just waiting to reveal his deal for 2007.
Midland DSQ`d in Germany.
The German Grand Prix ended on a sour note for the Midland MF1 team, when the scrutineers excluded both Christijan Albers and Tiago Monteiro from the results after deeming that their cars failed to comply with the regulations.

Double DNF for BMW.
BMW Sauber's home race at Hockenheim ended in disappointing fashion when a collision between Nick Heidfeld and Jacques Villeneuve on the opening lap proved a precursor for a double retirement for both drivers.
Mosley tires of freeze negotiations.
FIA president Max Mosley has told the Formula One engine manufacturers that they will be working with versions of the powerplants in use on 1 June this year when the proposed engine freeze comes into force in the 2008 season.

Michael rubbishes BMW talk.
Ferrari team leader, Michael Schumacher has dismissed speculation that he could be on his way to BMW Sauber in the not to distant future.
Williams confirms Toyota deal.
Despite having been expected at both the British and Canadian grands prix, Williams and Toyota have finally made the announcement regarding their future working relationship.
