McLaren-Mercedes driver Juan Pablo Montoya could be on his way to Renault at the end of this season, following Ron Dennis' decision to sign Fernando Alonso, who will go the opposite way.

F1's governing body, the FIA, has confirmed that the Belgian Grand Prix, which was scheduled to take place on September 17, will not take place in 2006.

Ferrari number two driver, Felipe Massa gave the Scuderia's second 248 F1 chassis its first outing at Fiorano on Monday.

Kovalainen happy after first taste of R26.
Renault's new test and reserve driver, Heikki Kovalainen, got his first run in the team's new R26 chassis at the Valencia test on Wednesday, and immediately reckoned the car to be a step forward over the title-winning R25.

Renault: Mild Seven loss a blow.
Renault F1 president Patrick Faure has predicted that it is likely that two or three smaller backers will replace title sponsor Mild Seven, when the cigarette brand leaves them at the end of this year.

WilliamsF1 rolled out their 2006 race car - the FW28, for its inaugural laps Monday at Valencia prior to the start of testing 'proper' on Tuesday. With Nico Rosberg behind the wheel, the team recorded 43 trouble free laps despite the poor, wet weather.
