Schuey Hits Trouble In New Ferrari F300.
While his team mate Eddie Irvine was conducting tests at Jerez in Southern Spain with the interim 1997/98 Ferrari F1, Michael Schumacher was at the team's test track at Fiorano Italy testing the new Ferrari F300 F1 car and experiencing problems.

It now looks certain that the 1998 Portuguese Grand Prix to have been held at Estoril near Lisbon will now be cancelled due to the fact that the circuit alterations to have been completed by March 31st 1998 will not be completed in time.
Williams Unveil New Winfield Livery.
Today the Williams Grand Prix team unveiled their new for 1998 Winfield livery at the Pinewood film studios outside London. The livery was shown for the first time on an FW19 chassis which is the old 1997 car, the new 1998 car the FW20 will not be launched until the last week of January.

The new Ferrari F300 - F1 Challenger for the 1998 FIA F1 World Championship was unveiled today at Maranello, the home of Ferrari in Italy.
Sauber Management Changes For 1998.
Team Red Bull Sauber Petronas will enter the 1998 FIA Formula One World Championship season with a revised management structure. Team Principal Peter Sauber will resume responsibility for the team's operations with immediate effect.
Villeneuve Concussed In Ski Accident.
The 1997 FIA Formula One World Champion Jacques Villeneuve was flown to hospital from the Praloup resort in France after sustaining concussion in a ski accident just prior to the New Year. He was detained for several hours as he was still feeling the effects of the accident.
Tuero Signs For Minardi
The Argentine teenager Esteban Tuero will race for the Italian Minardi Formula One team next year. Tuero who competed in Japan and F3000 last season, impressed the Minardi team during a series of pre-Christmas F1 tests in Italy.

Stewart Denies Financial Problems

According to reports in the British Guardian newspaper this morning, one of the largest tobacco companies in the world is set to buy it's own Formula One racing team.
Trulli Signs For Prost.
Jarno Trulli has eventually signed for Prost Grand Prix to drive for the team for the next two years, the Italian will join Olivier Panis at the French for whom he deputised following Panis1 accident in Canada this year.
