Leon Camier has secured his second win of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship season after storming to victory in the opening race of the weekend at Croft.
I was at the Goodwood Festival of Speed a week ago, and it was one of those weekends for me which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was somewhere to relax and have a look around at all the cars and all the old bikes - something I love doing - and just keep up-to-date with everything.
Camier joins Airwaves Ducati from Honda, with whom he finished eighth during his debut 2007 season in the BSB championship - and despite sustaining a serious injury at Cadwell Park. Leon will ride alongside Shane Byrne in 2008. Q: How did you get the nickname 'Shafter'?
'Shakey' won the 2003 BSB title with Paul Bird's Monstermob Ducati team, then spent two years on uncompetitive machinery in MotoGP before returning to the domestic championship with Rizla Suzuki in 2006.
