From next season, a system of 'compensation weights' will replace the controversial 'success ballast' system in determining equality in the World Touring Car Championship.

After consulting with the three manufacturers involved in the series, DTM organisers have agreed to limit its ballast weights to a maximum of plus or minus 20 kilogrammes.
