After a low-key 14th on his MotoGP return at Silverstone, Jorge Lorenzo was forced to call an early end to the Misano test due to pain and inflammation from his healing back.

Despite having victory snatched from under his nose at the final corner of the last two races, Marc Marquez holds an increased 78-point lead over Andrea Dovizioso heading into the Ducati rider's home event at Misano this weekend.

After suffering only his second fall as a MotoGP rider at Silverstone, Fabio Quartararo was back on top of the timesheets during both days of the Misano test.
