Is Pol Espargaro set for KTM?

Herve Poncharal said to BT Sport: "Every manufacturer is potentially a winner. They are all competitive.

"The KTM organisation are preparing the next two years. They want to take the next step.

"You need youth and experience, and people who believe in the project.

"Clearly Pol is someone who left an incredible memory because, from day one, he was in this project.

"He is someone who, in each lap, is pushing.

"The leader of the championship is Fabio Quartararo but, if you look at what Pol is doing, there is not one lap where he is two or three seconds off the pace.

"This is something that is helping the whole project.

"Clearly Pol is somebody who could be a big asset to us.

"He left. He is a bit nostalgic for what he left. So everything is possible."
